Officially an Adult!

Hello Creatives!

I hope you’ve had a magical Christmas and a wonderful new year! I was lucky enough to spend mine in Spain with my mum and dad, however the wonderful trip has come to an end!

I’m sat writing this on my Ryanair flight back to Bristol from Malaga whilst waiting for everyone to board and I can’t help but realise that this was my last holiday before full time employment begins, where holidays may not be so spontaneous anymore!

I’m so excited to get back to George, and I can’t wait for us to celebrate Christmas again together! Well… open presents (as I couldn’t bring mine to Spain, apart from ones mum and dad brought for me – some beautiful wool and a Fitbit!).

This evening will be relaxed, and tomorrow we set off at the crack of dawn to Aylesbury to view a few properties to move into for our next adventure!

Oops I better go! Doors are shutting and fingers crossed take off will be shortly (we’re already delayed by 10 minutes… typical!).

Life at 100 Miles an Hour

Hello Creatives,

Our move to Bristol has been relatively smooth, however I’ve not had 10 minutes to sit down yet! As I managed to bag myself a part time job, I’m currently sat in a hotel room in Leicestershire after 4 days of working as an Ecologist on some of our sites, with my suitcase packed ready to head back to Bristol!

One thing I love about being an ecologist and the position I’m currently in, is that nature is my office and with the early starts, I get to witness the most beautiful sunrises!

(Don’t get me wrong there’s many things I’m not a fan of, e.g. getting caught in the rain, slipping on my arse in mud etc…)

But today’s nippy 2 degree weather with the sun shining through brought along the best sunrise I’ve seen all year. Frost on the ground for the first time, and also the first time I had to scrape the car windows of all its ice!

I’m dying to fish my crochet hooks and wool out of their boxes and whip up some cosy items for this winter season! I reckon that’s what I’ll do when I’m back this evening….

Do a Masters Degree they said, it will be fun they said!

Wow, okay, so i had myself so excited for all the blog posts i’d be able to write because i would only be in lectures 3 days a week, and now im so dissappointed with the lack of them!

One thing i now know very well about a Masters Degree is that although you arent in university as many days of the week as you are during an undergraduate degree, you have 10x the amount of reading and work to do. It’s killeeeeeerrrrrr. It’s very much a case of, here’s a taster of a topic, now go and read on the subject, we wont spoon feed you!

This for me has been a massive challenge as i struggle with reading, or at least understanding what i read, so having to read multiple scientific papers a week (and understanding them) is pretty tough!

After this Friday i will luckily have some time to relax and breath before assignments start to pile up again, and what a perfect time it would be to work on a blog post about a wonderful box of treats i was lucky enough to win recently! (time is escaping me… recently means just under two months ago – oopsie)

InstaNatural Products!

So for the past two weeks i have been away travelling Ireland with a best friend of mine, and away from my laptop and internet – probably why i havent posted in ages!

During the time i was away, i was sent two awesome products from InstaNatural and here they are!!

So after all the receiving of results recently, many people will be starting university in September! But although moving away is exciting, i feel you always need a ‘home away from home’; a cosy, safe place that you can run to when the world is just too much to handle.

I have been using this wonderful little pen since i purchased it, and i would seriously recommend it to anyone! I very rarely wore eyeliner unless i was going on a night out as it just took too long to add into my morning routine, but since purchasing this eyeliner pen, that has all changed!

Kiko Milano: 849 Pearly Antique Blue – Quick Dry Nail Lacquer

Im obsessed with painting my nails! And after seeing this shade on sale (even if i had ones similar) i just had to buy it! It was also from the quick dry range, which was a bonus!

KIKO MILANO Haul!

Recently i’ve been on a wonderful week long 20th birthday holiday to the beautiful city of Paris! It was just as incredible as i’d hoped, as we stayed within the Disney parks! Although Disneyland was as magical as always, we also spent a day in central Paris, and did a little bit of shopping (oops!). Luckily, the summer sales were on, and many bargains were found, including a handful of items from the wonderful brand KIKO MILANO! I couldnt believe the sales they had in there, and after spending forever in the store, i came out with 4 items.
