We are Masters of Science!

Hello Creatives,

Goodness me, it has been ages since we last spoke! My life has (as per usual) been going 100 miles per hour and the excitement never ends!

George and I graduated our Masters Degrees (both with Merit) recently and as exciting as it all was, I forgot how bloody mind numbing graduation ceremonies can be Haha.

I’m sure most of you know or have an idea of how graduations go.. you collect your gowns, get photos taken, get more photos taken, sit through a ceremony, and then drink copious amounts of alcohol!

I’m just going to throw a few photos onto the page below of our big days and hopefully you’ll get a feel for how it went!

I opted for trousers instead of a dress as it was absolutely freezing and I was not ready to brave the cold that day!

Georges was thankfully a good 45 minutes shorter than mine, however, was at the bloody break of dawn…

Oh, and how could I forget, Georges older brother coincidently also graduated his Masters Degree on the same day as George but up in Leeds! So each boy had one parent, and here’s Joe below with his mama! As soon as George’s ceremony was over, we made the two+ hour drive up to Leeds for a big celebratory dinner.

ANDDDDDD if the boys’ graduation day couldn’t get any better… I was offered a job! (Sorry to shit on your parade boys… 😂)

Oh it was a simply fantastic week.

I’m writing this from a cosy sofa in our Spanish apartment where I will be spending Christmas with my family this year.

Merry Christmas everyone! Only two more sleeps to go!!

Surprises in London!

Hello Creatives,

So this is the next post in my travelling/life update series and could possibly be my favourite!

I was meant to be catching the train down to London to meet up with one of my bestfriends Liya to spend the weekend with her as it was apparently the ‘only weekend she was free’ – it’s a good thing i was free… you’ll soon see why.

I arrived off the train where she met me at the platform and we continued to walk back to her accommodation (she’s also currently doing her masters!) which i was going to be seeing for the first time. The plan was to get in, go for a wee (i was bursting!), drop off my bags and then head out for lunch.

As we got to her room and she unlocked and opened the door… well… watch the video below:

The other girls of my friendship ‘group’ surprised me all the way from Wales, Manchester and Surrey!

If it wasn’t obvious in the video, when i get a fright i lose feeling in my legs, which always creates a humourous outcome haha (i was okay, just incase you were wondering hahaha).

If that wasnt enough, i found out they were staying for the weekend, i got a homemade cake that was mouth-wateringly good, lots of little bits, and TICKETS TO MAMMA MIA ON THE WEST END! – they’re too good for me, i don’t deserve friends this amazing! 

 

Over the weekend we had park picnics, flat picnics, meals out, visited the British Museum, movie nights and lots of laughter. I wasn’t ready for us all to part again when Sunday came around!

I can’t wait for their birthdays to come around so i can show them how grateful i am to have them, and make their days just as special as they are!

The start of my twenty-second year of life has been incredible thanks to these wonderful ladies. I love these girls heaps.

My home away from home…

So after all the receiving of results recently, many people will be starting university in September! But although moving away is exciting, i feel you always need a ‘home away from home’; a cosy, safe place that you can run to when the world is just too much to handle.

Recently, myself and George went on a little family shopping trip in Bristol, and although i went into town with my list of necessities, i wasn’t looking for anything in particular. But i obviously managed to pick up a few things…

A day out and about…

Recently, since exams have pretty much ended, i’ve been dying to get out the house regardless of the weather. Today, Kim and i decided to go into town, enjoy!

Hi guys,

I’m super sorry that i haven’t posted in a while! Ive been incredibly busy with University work, ive even had to stay an extra week for a field course, which is eating a whole week into my Easter holidays! – not faaaaaaaair. But i have so many things i want to post about, for example I WAS NOMINATED FOR THE LEIBSTER AWARD by the beautiful Skyeskretcher (you do not understand how excited i am!).

trust me, once this week is over, its a full two weeks of relaxation, the first one may consist of a bit of work, as i do have endless amounts, but the second week will be in the beautiful Marbella, Spain – ooooooh i cant wait!

So i will have lots and lots of relaxing time to catch you up on my life and post post post!

Procrastination Station!

Oh just a quick one…

Tomorrow morning at 9.30am i have my final first semester, second year, university exam, and boy i can’t wait for it to be over and done with! There are just so many things i want to do and so many plans made with people i love! I want to review my brand new NuMe Magic Curling Wand, my Gel Nail Kit, as well as go through my new fashion obsessions that have helped me through this cold winter period, but all i can think about is how much i need to be going over my work and cramming in that last bit of revision!

Maybe i should get back to it now…
