Recently, i’ve left my university in Wales to come back home to Scotland for the summer, and unfortunately not been able to bring all of my clothes with me (as well as forgetting many many things), so i took a quick trip to TKMaxx in an attempt to find some of the essentials i really really needed! After successfully finding some gym wear, which i probably don’t need much more of but forgot to bring with me, i had a look at trousers and jeans as i constantly find myself in the same few pairs!
A black and white paisley pattern caught my eye, and after having a look, i found out that they were flares! At first i thought ‘oh god no, i could never pull those off’ as i have chunky thighs compared to my waist, and i thought they’d exaggerate them, but i went to try them anyway… and i fell in love.
As well as the above, there were bright orange and blue ones which i didn’t think i could quite pull off as well in the UK.. Spain however? But no. I stuck to the one pair and went on an online hunt for more!

1) Paisley Print Flare Trousers Blue // £25 Missguided
2) Rokoko Skinny Flare Trousers In Paisley Floral Festival Border Print // £28 ASOS

1) Mel Boho Paisley Print Flares // £12 Boohoo
2) Influence Tile Print Flared Trousers // £17.99 New Look
3) Kelly Aztec Print Skinny Flares // £12 Boohoo
I personally prefer the high waisted flares to the hip sitting ones, but thats just me! Although i don’t mind those that sit just under your belly button, anything lower = muffin top for me!
The Missguided navy and white flares are very similar to those from BOOHOO.com, but at a very different price. If its your first time trying them, i’d go for the cheaper ones!
And for a pop of colour, try the Kelly Aztec Print Skinny flares from BOOHOO.com! I’m the type of person thats into all the earthy tones and subtle colours, as you may be able to see from my selection, but go online and have a look. Prices vary from around £12 up to ridiculous prices in the £100’s! so depending on your budget and style, go experiment!
These flares can be paired with plain cropped tops, tight or baggy! And as you can see, shoes of choice seem to be sandals or platforms (depending on length).
P.S. I’ll post and update on the comfort of mine and how i’ve work them once i’ve properly worn them out!
